6TB HDD, UFS and SMB share, size problem

Post by stefanirulez »

Hi everybody, I'm a Nas4Free beginner and I've just installed a brand new 6tb hard drive in my NAS (that has nas4free v9.3.0.2.1283 installed).

All ok with the configuration; from a Windows PC in my LAN, I can read and write to the hdd without problems.

I've formatted my brand new hdd with UFS file system as I've read that it's a native file system fully supported in n4f.

Now I have the new hdd working and reachable using Samba. The hdd is actually empty and I've noticed that the free space is incorrect. :?:

As you can see from the images below, it has a total size of 5,3TB that is correct. But why I can only use 4.9TB?

I dont think UFS file system has a huge overhead like this one or am I missing something? :?

Why are there about 400GB missing when I ask for free space? Do you have similar problem with your UFS file system drives?

Thanks in advance for your support! :D
