I installed N4F on a Asrock z97e-itx/ac motherboard and it won't connect to the internet. The onboard nic does work, in the bios I was able to do a flash update which automatically downloaded the latest firmware.
I did some searching on google and found a thread on freenas discussing problems with the implementation of the intel i218v chipset drivers on FREEBSD.
Does the latest version of N4F (93021310) support this chipset?

Re: intel i218v NIC Drivers - Update
Still haven't found a solution to the i218v chipset problem. From what I've read this chipset is supposed to be more common with intel's newer cpu's. Hoping that down the road there will be an update at 'Freebsd'.
My mini-itx case has space for a network card but with all the cables it maybe a very tight fit. As for now, I went out and bought a 'j5create USB 3.0 Gigabit Ethernet' adapter at Best Buy. It took about an extra 20 seconds but nas4free saw the usb adapter. I was able to reach the login screen from another pc on my network. I'll have another post on how the setup goes!

try latest experimental alpha based on BSD 10: viewtopic.php?f=69&t=5365&start=200
12.1.0.4 - Ingva (revision 7743) on SUPERMICRO X8SIL-F 8GB of ECC RAM, 11x3TB disk in 1 vdev = Vpool = 32TB Raw size , so 29TB usable size (I Have other NAS as Backup)
