Hi
Hope I am using the correct message template, if I am wrong please notify me.
After having a long power outage the server behaves very strange.
after starting the system, it takes ssh a lot of time to answer.
when opening a ssh connection it disconnects after a few seconds. after a few minutes I can start a new ssh connection but i get a shut in my face again after a few seconds.
Also the web interface behaves similiar...
I don't jave ping during the network outage.
as you understand its quite hard to debug this, but I tried to look at CPU usage and see no issue here.
/dev and /proc are 100%, don't understand why.
Thanks for any help/debugging leads

Re: Server is acting strange after power outage - slow and ssh disconnects
first of all you have file system errors.
see
http://wiki.nas4free.org/doku.php?id=faq:0001
i never used the old freenas version, so i dont know if there is a gui for it .
from the command line its
smartctl --all <device>
replace device with each device

Re: Server is acting strange after power outage - slow and ssh disconnects
Stil haven't run the SMART test, but tried disconnecting the hard drive to see what happens. so the large hard drive is the one that failing the system. I will try to unmount and remount it.

quite strange. after deleting the Hard Drive from the machine via the web interface, I can't even ping the machine anymore....
