unrecoverable space after emptying recyle bin

I have deleated about 80 gb of files from my recycling. Bin but my zfs pool isnt recovering the space..where did it go how can i getbthat space back.
I have run scrubs but always comback good

do you have snapshots?
if so while these exist you do not recover the space.
Nas4Free 11.1.0.4.4517. Supermicro X10SLL-F, 16gb ECC, i3 4130, IBM M1015 with IT firmware. 4x 3tb WD Red, 4x 2TB Samsung F4, both GEOM AES 256 encrypted.

If i remove the snapshots will i recovrr the space

The snapshots are so small i didnt realize that they wore keeping the space
