I recently upgraded to 9.3.0.2 - Nayla (revision 1349), and started to use SMB3
My problem is that when i create share, and click apply changes, I got "Error: The changes could not be applied (error code 1)."
I found out on forum that it would be good to reinstall whole nas4free what i did, and still no progress.
it's not so critical, because when i restart whole samba the share is there and works...but still it's a error..
oh and it's the same even with SMB2
I looked in logs and there are line like this:
Mar 2 10:36:44 icybox2 root: Failed to reload service samba
Mar 2 10:33:13 icybox2 smbd[2936]: STATUS=daemon 'smbd' finished starting up and ready to serve connectionsFailed to fetch record!

Re: create new share "Error: The changes could not be applied (error code 1)."
Hi,
This same error happens in my installation (same exact version).
Also I've reinstalled from scratch and the error still remains.
I'm using Active Directory authentication and "max protocol"=SMB3. Also tried with "max protocol"=SMB2 but I get the same error.
In the log, at the STATUS lines I get:
STATUS=daemon 'smbd' finished starting up and ready to serve connectionswaiting for connections
STATUS=daemon 'nmbd' finished starting up and ready to serve connectionssend_host_announcement: type 809b03 for host NAS4FREE on subnet 192.168.0.241 for workgroup TEST
STATUS=daemon 'winbindd' finished starting up and ready to serve connectionsget_dc_list: preferred server list: ", *"
STATUS=daemon 'winbindd' finished starting up and ready to serve connectionsconnection_ok: Connection to (null) for domain TEST is not connected
The funny thing is that the changes on the shares are made and they persist upon reboots..
I hope you can help us to find the problem.
Thank you and keep the excellent work!
Cheers!
Patricio
