As i got my eSATA controller i will put some more discs into nas4free 10XSATA extra (bays)
I have now 4x500GB wich i will set up as RAID6 6X2TB wich i will set up as 2XRAID5 2X250G in mirror and 4X1TB in RAID6
The discs in those eSATA cabinets wil be in diferent size as some i have to get from my supplier
The plan is acctually to have at least one or two big pools wich is rsync againts singel discs so i do not loose contens wich i really hate to loose
In the future i wil also be using USB and eSATA single cabinets but not now.
If something is unclear post an questio and i can probably answer

Is this all going to be connected to a single machine?
If so, I would strongly recommend that you backup any important data to external media (either CDs/DVDs or another machine), preferably stored in an offsite location. Without an external backup, all it takes is a faulty PSU or for someone to accidentally knock the machine over and all of your data is gone.

you lose the benefits of ZFS, please consider to migrate to a RAIDZ2 pool, your data have more posibilities of survive on changes ( Change of disk, changes of motherboard, changes of controller, etc...).
12.1.0.4 - Ingva (revision 7743) on SUPERMICRO X8SIL-F 8GB of ECC RAM, 11x3TB disk in 1 vdev = Vpool = 32TB Raw size , so 29TB usable size (I Have other NAS as Backup)
Full instalation step by step, do you know some ebook with these information?
Im quite new in nas4free, I had freenas 8 earlier but I found that nas4free would be better choice for a server solution.
I try to install pool with zfs and put some datasets with privileges for some account - In freenas 8 these steps were so simple and quite intuitive.
