NAS doesn't boot after shutdown

Hi

I shutdown my NAS for maintenance, and now, it doesn't want to boot

When I turn on my NAS, it's starting to boot and after few time, I get last line : load NOP GEOM class

and nothing more

Somebody has an idea?

What could be the problem ?

Which type of maintenance ?
Perhaps a bad connection of Sata cable.

What version of nas4free? Full or embedded?

So

One disk seems defective

My nas is booting with a new HD

But this new HS came from an old ZFS pool

How can I add it to my pool?

But, I have 6 HD 1To in my ZFS pool

Il 1 is unavailable, my files should be available again? Correct?

you used a single parity setup and run into the raid 5 problem.

Can you explain me where you have seen I run into RAID5 ?

I'm not very ZFS fluent and need to understand my problem

12.1.0.4 - Ingva (revision 7743) on SUPERMICRO X8SIL-F 8GB of ECC RAM, 11x3TB disk in 1 vdev = Vpool = 32TB Raw size , so 29TB usable size (I Have other NAS as Backup)

raidz1 is equivalent to raid5

if one drives dies any corruption can not be repaired

and I selected "replace" to add in to my pool1

now, I have that :

yes that is the reason for the zpool status

If I start to replace all SATA cable, do you beleive I could get my data?

well the error in the file <0x0> means an error in the metadata. i.e the file system information, which is really bad.

what is the output of the mount command?

you go to the console and type mount.
this is to see if the zfs array is mounted.

degraded and not mounted. with the metadata corruption i dont know if you can even recover any data.

Not Time to Check today, but I will try at first to change SATA cables and see

Hi

I'm coming backe after some weeks very busy

I start to replace ALL SATA cable for my 6 hard drive

But I get same error for same Hard disk

Really crasy. Is it a cable issue?

Is a too small power supply able to do that ?

new sata cables wont make the errors on the drive disappear.
Nas4Free 11.1.0.4.4517. Supermicro X10SLL-F, 16gb ECC, i3 4130, IBM M1015 with IT firmware. 4x 3tb WD Red, 4x 2TB Samsung F4, both GEOM AES 256 encrypted.

i was talking about the state of your array.

you should change the sata cables. but those are the least of your problems.
