The Brig in N4Free 10.1.0.2

Post by ZiEg »

Hi all,

testing nas4free 10.1.0.2 rev 1557, I just wanted to duplicate my working NAS. So started installation of the Brig.
When getting the tarballs, I got to following error message :

Code: Select all

The following input errors were detected:
There seem to be no matching releases for your kernel. See the documentation regarding kernel/jail binary mismatch
I looked at the available tarballs and found 9.1, 0.2 and 9.3 only.
Is a 10 version planned or should I go ahead with version 9.3 ?

Many thanks for your help

But you cannot see path to jail and IP?
Please check mount devfs. into jail edit table

Here is my settings.

In Jail allow :
mount
mount.devfs
mount.nullfs
mount.procfs
quotas
raw_sockets

So I get it but I dont understand.
Devfs ruleset is empty

Furthermore els command outputs :

Code: Select all

nas4free: ~ # jls
   JID IP Address Hostname Path
nas4free: ~ #
and I can't press the "Stop" button to restart the jail

Thanks for help

EDIT
After destroying and rebuilding the jail everything is looking fine now

If you cannot press Stop button, so jail was wrote his id file, but not started.
For remove id file manually find it into /var/run folder -----> /var/run/jail_<jailname>.id and delete it

this worked for me. I was going crazy making new jails everytime, repeating the process each time thinking I was doing something wrong. Is it an error that causes the STOP button to freeze like that ?

following the steps you wrote, deleting the .id file worked nicely.
