Directory is not writable: /usr/ports

Post by adrian54 »

Hi all,

Today I successfully upgrade/reinstalled my Nas4Free from 9.1 to the latest 9.3. I then created a new jail and installed Pyload successfully. I then rebooted to make sure Pyload launches after restart and it successfully did. However upon restart, i noticed that within the nas4free webui under TheBriggs, I used to see a "+plugins" next to the name of the jail but its no longer there after a reboot.

Anyways, logging back in via putty now, it seems when I do a cd /usr/ports and a ls, there's nothing in there!

What happened to all the files I downloaded and installed before with commands like pkg update, pkg upgrade, pkg2ng, portsnap fetch extract

Also, when I get the following issues with these commands. These folders existed and had no issues before the reboot, and now I can't get them to work.

# portsnap fetch extract
Looking up portsnap.FreeBSD.org mirrors... 7 mirrors found.
Fetching snapshot tag from ec2-ap-southeast-2.portsnap.freebsd.org... done.
Latest snapshot on server matches what we already have.
No updates needed.
portsnap: Directory is not writable: /usr/ports

cd /usr/ports/multimedia/zoneminder/ && make install clean
/usr/ports/multimedia/zoneminder/: No such file or directory.

help! :(
