LED indicator "arrays"?
I have a new 8-drive SATA controller... it has 8 activity LED headers, other than drilling 8 little holes and installing LEDs, does anyone make an installable array of LEDs?

Re: LED indicator "arrays"?
yeah... what it looks like I will be doing, if I decide I "need" one :/
I found a generic 5.25" bay blank with a 3.5" mounting rail behind it for about $5 US, and LEDs from China for about the same... I was just hoping there was some simple solution out there already

Re: LED indicator "arrays"?
if I can find a clean way to install it... I might even make one out of these Mutli-Segment LEDs:

Re: LED indicator "arrays"?
yeah, that is exactly what I'm picturing in my head with the 5.25" drive blank...
I might just go simple... purchase 10-pin headers, and install LEDs directly on the pins for "Cover off diagnostics" purposes:

Re: LED indicator "arrays"?
Instead of the LEDs would a LCD screen be more useful? There is a LCD interface although haven't read much about it

Re: LED indicator "arrays"?
I have a few controller cards that have some LED headers and wondered like the rest of you if there was a ready made cable and panel that could be easily installed.
There may be a market for such a device.
Just need to find the right headers to plug onto the card. I have not found any as of late.

Re: LED indicator "arrays"?
I'm thinking of installing several of these mounted behind a 5.25" drive bay insert... each one representing a ZFS pool
