Upgrade from 943

Post by cornelis »

I have been running FreeNas and later Nas4free for som time. I want to upgrade from 943 to 1731. Problem is this live cd needs 2 Gbyte of Ram, and I only have 512 Mbyte (Via Epia SN1800G, 512 Mbyte ram, boot from Transcend 8Gbyte CF, hard drive Seagate Baracuda 7200.12 1 Tbyte). How can I upgrade without upgrading my hardware?

where did you see a 2gb ram requirement? its 2gb storage.

Code: Select all

Requirements
============
Embedded: 2GB CF/USB/SSD (NAS4free "Embedded" is Recommended Install)
Full: 4GB HDD/SSD (For developers and some advanced users, Not Recommended!)
Swap less: physical memory 2GB or higher needed.
With swap: physical memory 512MB + swap 512MB (swap 1024MB recommended).

*Note: LiveCD is not supported on swap mode except installation and upgrading.
Nas4Free 11.1.0.4.4517. Supermicro X10SLL-F, 16gb ECC, i3 4130, IBM M1015 with IT firmware. 4x 3tb WD Red, 4x 2TB Samsung F4, both GEOM AES 256 encrypted.
