Post by paulg »

Code: Select all

Aug 11 18:10:39	nas4free	smbd[22483]: receive_smb_raw_talloc failed for client ipv4:192.168.11.109:2517 read error = NT_STATUS_IO_TIMEOUT.
Aug 11 18:10:39	nas4free	smbd[22483]: [2015/08/11 18:10:39.056940, 1] ../source3/smbd/process.c:553(receive_smb_talloc)
I get these periodically. I'm backing up a Windows XP machine and and Windows 7 64-Bit machine.

Max Protocol NT1
AIO is on
Large Read/Write is on

"SMB3 is for recent OS like Windows 8. SMB2 is for OS like Windows 7 and Vista. NT1 is for legacy OS like XP."

I thought I needed to run NT1?

SMB2 seems to have cleared the error and works fine with the XP machine.

Thanks again!
