Hi
I had been following the [HOWTO] Install Plex from ports using TheBring and had installed the jail and plex server successfully. Added the fstab entries and was starting to load photos, when the whole process froze. Left it overnight, but it didn't change. Performed a reboot, which failed - it wouldn't shut everything down, so had to turn off and turn on again. Then once back online did an update of library, which it started, and then froze again.
So tried rebooting, and same issue with not doing a full shutdown.
Now though it has booted up without my pool (called NASBOX). I tried to clear config and import disks but that didn't work.
I tried to reinstall the last config file i had, and that hasn't worked either.
The Extension tab has also disappeared - i guess because the pool has gone.
Getting concerned that i will lose data - what are my next steps please? Really hope the disks are not corrupted as they are new.
And if i can get my pool back, why was PLex crashing?
thanks

Re: Plex has crashed and taken Pool with it
first. run a memtest on your machine.
are the drives of the other pool actually recognized by the system?

Re: Plex has crashed and taken Pool with it
thanks for replying...
run memtest -no errors
the other pool is just one drive - which actually has no data on it at the moment and seems fine. It's the pool that has disappeared that i am concerned about.
Are there any other checks i can perform? or anything i can do to try to get the pool back, before i have to think about replacing disks? seems odd that two disks should go at the same time.
****update*****
just took out the memtest usb and put back the nas operating usb. The pool has reappeared, and i can access all the data fine.
The Extension tab is still missing and if i run jls there is no jail, but the JAIL folder i created is still there.
is a lot of this issue related to using v10 with plex? would i be better off for now maybe doing a fresh install of v9.3 and using the extended gui to run the plex server rather than using jails. (which seems more complex for a newbie like me)
