ZFS slow down

Post by ssjoco »

I have an ZFS volume and simple UFS FileShare both of them shared on CIFS/SMB. After some days the ZFS volume read/write speed is limited at 500Kb/s, after a reboot it is working again. I don't have this problem with the UFS share. I tried restart the serviced, no luck.
I have this problem since the NAS4free 10 betas. Now I am upgrading the latest release.
Any idea what cause the slowdown?

I'm running 10.2.0.2.1778 x64 embedded version on ASRock C70M1 with AMD C-70 APU, 2GB RAM. ZFS with one disk WD-WCAZA3925169.
CPU and RAM usage always minimal.

One surprising thing is that mem use is minimal - the default for zfs is to use pretty much all the memory for cache. Have you tuned zfs to constrain memory use?
