Hi.
I'm using a NAS4Free installation for sharing a ZFS volume/zvol over iSCSI.
When using the webgui to create a zvol, it always creates with 8k blocks.
I found out during testing that if using 8k blocks, then if the iSCSI initiator system displayed for example 20% free space, NAS4Free would show 0% free space and would hang NAS4Free if the initiator system added more data than real available free space in the pool. After some googling it was made clear that the block size was the culprit. Manually created a zvol with 128k blocks and synced the changes. Problem went away.
A drop list selection in http://nas4free/disks_zfs_volume_edit.php with useable block sizes would be appreciated.
Or at least a "Additional parameters" field for user to manually add options during zvol creation.
Sincerely
Veni

Re: ZFS Volume zvol selectable block size
I*m running 10.2.0.2 - Prester (revision 2235) and it has an input field for block size in the volume creation form. It was built two months after this request.
So... solved?
