2 HDD in 1 Share

Post by Fugt41 »

Hey
Is it possible to mount 3 HDD and share only 2 of them in one SMB Share like this:?

3HDD:
/mnt/HDDFilme
/mnt/HDDBilder
/mnt/Data

Share on Windows should look like this:

Nas4Free/user/HDDFilme
Nas4Free/user/HDDBilder

do you understand?

with a workaround yes, but it is not a good idea.

windows needs the share to be on the hd itself for the free space check.

it would be easier to just one share each for /mnt/HDDFilme and /mnt/HDDBilder

with the way i pointed out you have 2 shares

\\nas4free\HDDFilme
and
\\nas4free\HDDBilder

that is what you wanted.

the other option would be to turn the 3 drives into 1 raid drive, but you need a temporary storage space for the files (which you should have for backup )
