USB 3.0 card detected, but attached drives are not

Post by EasyStorin' »

I'm running NAS4Free 10.2.0.2 with a NEC USB 3.0 add-in card. After adding xhci_load="YES" to my loader.conf and rc.conf, I can see that the card is detected:

Code: Select all

# pciconf -lv
xhci0@pci0:2:0:0:	class=0x0c0330 card=0xc0a5144d chip=0x01941033 rev=0x04 hdr=0x00
    vendor     = 'NEC Corporation'
    device     = 'uPD720200 USB 3.0 Host Controller'
    class      = serial bus
    subclass   = USB

Code: Select all

# dmesg | egrep "([Xx][Hh][Cc][Ii]|USB v?3\.0|[Ss]uper)"
module_register: module pci/xhci already exists!
Module pci/xhci failed to register: 17
xhci0: <NEC uPD720200 USB 3.0 controller> mem 0xf0400000-0xf0401fff irq 16 at device 0.0 on pci2
xhci0: 32 bytes context size, 32-bit DMA
usbus0 on xhci0
usbus0: 5.0Gbps Super Speed USB v3.0
uhub0: <0x1033 XHCI root HUB, class 9/0, rev 3.00/1.00, addr 1> on usbus0
However, anything I plug into it is not detected. If I plug my USB 3.0 hard drive into a USB 2.0 port, then /dev/da2 appears. If I plug the same disk into a USB 3.0 port, nothing happens. Any ideas?
