How to Setup Swap on ZFS Pool

Post by richardp »

Hi All,

Brand new to NAS4Free. Using a basic old PC with only 1GB of RAM. I haven't setup swap on my usb os drive but want to know how I can setup a swap file on the ZFS pool I have created as I cannot seem to find any clear information on how to do this? Do I need to create a volume or dataset and somehow point to that for swap?

Thanks in advance

"Disk / ZFS / Volumes / Volume" - call it Swap for convenience

"System / Advanced / Swap"

Select device and in the device put "/dev/zvol/poolname/Swap"

Ba da bing
