Its running great.

So for everyone looking for a cheap working LCD? order it from Hong Kong

The A2 model also works - they sell them on their ebay store for $35ish USD

Is there a way to customise what is displays? such as disk mounts?

I just added our models on the wiki; see Hardware Compatibility Lists & Users' Hardware Lists.

As I just got it, unshure how i fully can customize it yet, but i did add some adjustments for the coming rev of nas4free.
So far i'm really very pleased about it.

Yes, it really is.

I highly recommend it, no need to buy a QNAP or other commercial NAS because of a display.

Wow Zoon, that looks awesome. Two questions though.

Firstly, what settings did you use to make it work?

And secondly, does the HDD usage status only show mnt drives, or would it include the OS drive?

I'm only able to show the welcome/goodbye screen on mu display!

Yes, The box is a Xigmatek GIGAS I use. check: http://www.xigmatek.com/product.php?productid=134

The word "Gigas" is part of the Greek language and means "giant". In the modern language, the prefix "giga" can be found in many different areas to quantify the sheer size. Gigabyte or Gigawatt are such examples and the new chassis from Xigmatek carries the name "Gigas" for good reason.


The Xigmatek Gigas is an all aluminum Micro-ATX small form factor chassis with a stylish, brushed aluminum finish in either Silver or Black. From the exterior, the Gigas appears deceptively small for a Micro-ATX case. The Gigas chassis houses 2 x 5.25” optical disk drive bays with one bay featuring a custom bezel. Inside, there are two drive cages more that can each house 3 x 3.5” and one 2.5” drive for an unheard of 6 x 3.5” + 2 x 2.5” drives.
