WOL Support for Intel i217V?

Hi Guys,

Is there a changing for support WOL with Intel Nic i217? I read some comments about not supported, but these where over an year old.
Did someone have a hint, how i can WOL for this Nic enabled?

Unfortunately you must get confirmation by someone who does own a mobo with this NIC chipset. But you can give it a try with the 10.x release in a different usb stick.

wol does not have a very high priority in the freebsd development.

that why i always suggest getting a motherboard with ipmi support.

I will have to agree with b0ssman on this..
My motherboard's NICs (it is using dual Intel NICs, one 82579LM and one 82574L), both support wol:

But enabling WOL causes undesired effects, more specifically the NAS reboots instead of shutting down half the times. So ditched WOL and now I am using IPMI to turn it on.
Having said that, my backup NAS which uses Broadcom NIC works as expected..
