Re: how to update plex Version 0.9.12.18
Being on BSD you will never get the latest version.
Even more so if using pkg. if you use ports to install you may get a newer version.
Pkg latest is 9.12.11

Re: how to update plex Version 0.9.12.18
Ok, just found out that if you are on 10.2 the default pkg repo was changed from latest to quarterly.
Edit your jails /etc/pkg/FreeBSD.conf and change the quarterly to latest in the url.
After that run pkg update and then pkg upgrade.
Went from 0.9.12.11 to 0.9.12.19. Still not the latest plex version, but a good bump.

Re: how to update plex Version 0.9.12.18
Hello, I don't know if this is a jail specific issue but I personally run Finch-Light(no qjails), and pkg install show the latest Plex version ("0.9.12.19.1537") without modifying the FreeBSD.conf, but of course portsnap will bring the latest, however I don't upgrade Plex to often as long as stuff are working, (except on security updates)fizzgig656 wrote:thanks that worked, well like you say, still an update but now 0.9.23.19.erico.bettoni wrote:Ok, just found out that if you are on 10.2 the default pkg repo was changed from latest to quarterly.

thanks.
I just install packages directly into "chroot" like an normal FreeBSD installation, for simplicity, because chroot is like a less restrictive jail but still being isolated from the host, and is more than enough for a home server.
