Interface Management

XigmaNAS supports the usage of more then one Network Interface Card (NIC). The example below shows a setup with two NICs. After adding a NIC you should reboot XigmaNAS. The default NIC is called LAN while all additional NICs are called OPT1, OPT2 and so on. With the drop-down menu you can change the order of your NICs. In the example below please observe that the 2 connected NICs and referred to as em0 and nfe0. 'em' and 'nfe' refer to the driver used for the NIC, in this case 'em' for Intel and 'nfe' for NVIDIA cards. The MAC address of each port is also shown.
